My Own Worst Client

I’m getting married in May, so naturally I’ve gone overboard with the task of designing all the print & web materials for the wedding. It’s been a great deal of fun, but has also been a lesson in self-inflicted pain.
The hardest client work comes from people who don’t have a clear idea of what they want, so their limitations are few. It’s not a bad thing, but it makes the job extremely difficult, because the assignment is so open-ended. This is the reason I struggle so much with my own work, because I am the “all-powerful client,” who is capable of changing the scope of the project at the drop of a hat.
All things considered, it’s been a fun process and branding exercise. I even designed my own custom ampersand, which will be letterpressed along with some tandem bicycles and other fun stuff.
Here are a few teaser images. I’m really excited to see what they look like once they’ve been letterpressed.
